When playing iTune files the sound is distorted to a certain degree when the iTunes window is maximized, the sound issue dissapear when minimizing it! I have had this peculiar problem for months, and I have not been able to fix it. Even a complete cleaninstallation of Vista didn't fix this problem.

I also notice severe distortion or noice when scrolling during playing iTunes or other programs.
